Your dues allows us to maintain the roads to the standards of the town, so that our neighborhood will continue to receive services from the town. As a private road with public access, the roads must meet a standard set by the town in order for them to plow the roads in the winter, provide emergency services as well as deliver mail and pick up trash/recycling. We also help to protect Highland Lake by preventing run-off from the roads which puts oil and other contaminants in the water.  We all use the roads and we should all pay to maintain them in accordance with the Bylaws. It is also required by most mortgage companies that an association maintains the road if it is private.
